Test ride

Day 11 GDMBR Saturday June 21st 2025,

All the blog entries are a prequal of the GDMBR, the cycle trip itself, which will start around the start of July!

Today started a little later due to the late arrival after visiting the circus. I started with coffee, yoghurt Cereal and fruits. Finishing the daily report after that and posting it op Polarsteps. Tested the Microphone and tracking feature of my new DJI action camera. I was impressed and very happy that it worked with satisfaction! The coming week I’ll have a remote control for that action camera too, so I switch it on and off while going by! In the meantime, Amazon delivered …. The wrong cable….. With the help of Megan, I made the digital return. Also ordered the new one we triple checked. Tomorrow it will arrive, we’ll see …

Together with Alex and Cleo we will take a bicycle ride. I will try out my action camera with the microphone! Well… We did take a ride over, sometimes, almost technical mountain bike paths and beautiful old train tracks. It was hard, some of the little hills were so steep I had to catch my breath and level my heartrate. But that is what training is for!

Also, I had some problems with my new Aeroe rack in front. The attached Aeroe bag was sagging until rubbed the moving wheel, this especially with all the bumps from roots, little edges of the small bridges and rocks on the track This will be a problem that will be solved today. I also tested the DJI action camera and this proofed to be wonderful images and video parts. Also, the sound was great and the DJI microphone worked very well. Although the place of the microphone will be changed with other tests in the coming rides here in Bellingham.

The ride itself was great and more than beautiful. The moss on the trees were magnificent and the abundance of ferns was absolute a treat for the eyes. I loved the ride and told Alex that. I will ride the track several times, I will love this!
