GDMBR in parts

I am Dutch, but prefer to write in English, in order to let the English speaking friends read my new story.

After the start of my retirement last year, I started cycling the GDMBR early 2025.

I wrote a diary on Polarsteps, which I will post here too, so the sort will be covered.

Like you will read on those posts things didn't go as planned.

Even though I prepared for this great adventure for about three years, In Big Fork Montana I decided to stop.

After traveling by train to Bellingham, where my travel companies (Alex and Scott) came from, I returned to the Netherlands again, never to do anything as hard as this.

But.... Minds changed and I started planning the continuation of this GDMBR again in 2026, around the first of July.

After posting my old blogs, I will try and post every week about how I prepared this time.

I am convinced to finish this lifelong (kind of) wish of mine this time!

Although I have my doubts about the political position in the USA.

I won't criticize, but I found this deeply worrying.
