On the way to Jasper, Alberta
Saturday July 5th 2025
Starting to pack everything and get ready. Wrote the last part of the Polarsteps of the little adventures of the Fourth of July! Had a big breakfast of cereal, fruits and yoghurt
I had a little concern it wouldn’t fit everything in the bags. This will be solved, because the campervan would be with us for two days and I can ditch some things in the van. Four bicycles were attached to the rack, Alex and Megan did buy second hand on Greg’s list. This was a massive heavy duty rack which holds the four of the bikes easy. We strapped them with extra cords and after some wiggling they were secured. After packing everything on and up the van we started driving at 13:25.
The ride was good and crossing into Canada 🍁 was going well! The Canada part was great, the mountains were stunning! In kamloops we had a diner in a Korean restaurant, chicken for me which tasted wonderful, I asked for a mild fried plate and received it! Scott had ordered a spicy one which he received, a bit more than he expected!
We did drive through to Clearwater campsite. This area just had quite a storm with a lot of rain. We had a wonderful place to put the van and two separate tents next to it! The tents were set up in the dark, for Scott it was the first time he pitched the tent. The tents was lent to him by Alex and Megan, so he was helped setting up this tent. For me it was not the first time, but the first time in the dark, this went well! I went to the washrooms and went to bed right after that!
A great day again with good friends!
