Day 17 GDMBR Friday June 27th 2025,

Because Thursday didn’t happen much, I combine two days in one report / entry.

Thursday, I helped Alex changing the casters of a big supply’s cupboard. A task that was challenging, to say the least. The four nuts and bolts were extra fastened with lock-tide, so it needed some adaptation of the method to get all off. After that was done, the new casters. Were installed in no time!

The evening was great, Alex had bought two big salmon parts and put it next to eggplant and other vegetables on the grill. IT WAS VERY GOOD and tasted heavenly! Also,

Alex and I did a new game (for me), a more “complex” game of “Boter,Kaas en Eieren”, we call this game in the Netherlands. The Dutch field is 9 places and only two forms and one way to win. There are some other “rules” but won’t write these down. This game, I will give the name later, has 16 fields and several ways to win: • 4 same colors, • 4 same with holes, • 4 same sizes, • 4 same forms (round of square). So, in the end I did win, one time and we will do this game again, I liked it.

Friday, I got up later, because I wanted to ride less far and started the entry of the Polarsteps of two days. This also because I waited to have my laptop exchange with the iPhone of the WhatsApp set up on the lap top. This took ages….. So, I stopped searching and went cycling.

I did the ride Alex suggested, which was beautiful and at times very quiet! There were several hills that were definitely hard, for me coming from a very flat country. But I feel ready for the trip, although the GDMBR will not be, or hardly, on tarmac.

In Bow the bakery was open, luckily, and I had a great lunch and a little break. The way back was good and at home, after a shower, I fell asleep on the Ikea chair for several hours.

Diner was salmon from yesterday diner and I loved it.

Another great day went by fast!
